Hello Everyone!
This World Fair just released, White Flag, a collection of B-sides from our self-titled release, This World Fair. We decided to release it only on iTunes and not on CD unless, for some reason, it’s warranted in the future. I hope you enjoy the way we put it together.
The first five tracks are the actual B-sides and the last three tracks are three versions of the song, Plastic Soul, which I felt was a fan favorite and deserved extra attention. My friend Luke Fredrickson (you may remember his production work on my first record, Home, by Kalgren) produced track 6: Plastic Soul (Film Version) which appears at the beginning of the film, The Other Side Of The Tracks. I recorded track 7: Plastic Soul (Original Demo) in my basement in 2006 the night that I wrote the song. You may hear an evolution in vocal ability and overall production when comparing the demo with the studio version; I thought it was a nice little treat to include in the package. Track 8 is a video, directed by Tommy Stone and engineered by Paul Marino.
I’d like to publicly thank a few people who contributed directly to making all of this happen:
Luke, Tommy and Paul for their sizable contributions to this special collection of music and video.
Al, who produced the first five tracks during our brief contract with EMI records in 2007.
Manbir and Stephen for sticking with this unbearably long and confusing process of uploading a music video in addition to music (who knew it was rocket science?).
Alex, Zach, DJ, George, Jim, Jordan, Zack, Matt, JT, Tyler, and Luke - thanks for playing with me and putting up with me over the last few years. Some things are meant to last and some things aren’t, but most things are meant to happen.
Shandra and Peter for helping guide the creative direction and public relations (also just being great friends to me outside of the biz).
Darin for taking the press photos.
Darcy for designing the album artwork.
Betsy and Britta, my two fave ladies in the world.
Mom and Dad, for helping me through thick and thin.
My extended family for taking interest in my music and career.
CHAMP for being my boys.
Fans for liking my creations - I promise I’m working hard to evolve and create music that you will like in the future.
God, 1. if you exist and 2. if you’re listening: thanks for your grace and mercy and strength in my abundant weakness. I am not deserving of the love and care you took to create me.

I am really sad that you are only releasing this on iTunes.
I understand the money reasons, but until iTunes has a lossless option the people that love your music are stuck with lossy compressed downloads and that really sucks.
Personally I wish I could pick up both your LP and EP on vinyl, CD is bad enough with all the over-zealous compression and clipping the mastering guys are forced (sometimes) by the labels and or artists who don’t know any better to apply.
Oh well. Sadly I won’t be able to listen to this because I won’t support Apple’s ridiculous lossy-only offerings. Wiht bandwidth and storae as cheap as they are there’s no reason not to have a lossy option.
Hope this sees a vinyl or cd-quality download at some point - I’d buy it through this website if you put it up.
Cheers,
~Steve
