Hello out there!
I promise you, I haven’t left…was trying to enjoy life for a while. Can you believe that I have been at this music thing for about five years???
Was just reminiscing about the early days of, Kalgren. Wow. What a vastly different experience than the one I’m having now. Yet, so much to be missed! The early days are what define us afterall! …
-My work ethic toward music was expanded and indefinitely inspired by DJ House.
-All the cool I could ever possess (which isn’t much!) was always first in George Hadfield.
-And the kid who taught everyone the meaning of loyalty was my first drummer, Tyler Jorenby.
Yet, I am learning new lessons in loyalty every step of the way from Alex Young, my year-and-a-half tenured drummer. And you know what? He’s kind of the new Tyler that way. Let’s all forget the drummers in-between, shall we??
And how about Zach Ojeda? I know he was an underdog for most of you, but if anyone could believe they could fly, it would be him. He is unabashedly a scholar of music without having any snob in him. Who could resist such a great talent?
And alas, our guitar spot remains open. Why? I don’t know. Perhaps as a subtle mirror to my work ethic: vacant. Spent on other things. No more! Come one come all to the front. Show us you got more than the last! We’re just waiting.
Cheers,
ck
